This position is responsible for supporting the Chief Content Officer, Assistant Director, Digital Content and Media and Assistant Director, Marketing and Digital Media to manage the Communications Content team. This position delivers the communications content through various media channels, and supports the CEO and conservation managers of WWF for press releases, media and event briefings and rapid responses on key issues.

This role coordinates media relations and supports the events and marketing teams with communications content for both digital and traditional media channels. The role acts to raise the profile and supporter engagement of WWF, build awareness of conservation impact and leverage WWF brand and collaborations.


  • Developing and implementing media communications and content to increase supporter engagement.
  • Develop and maintain strong and good relationships with all sorts of external media, including traditional mass media, lifestyle magazines, environmental journalists, prominent bloggers, etc. to promote WWF’s brand values and drive public support, solicit and manage partnerships with external media to maximize publicity and exposure of WWF.
  • To support WWF external facing websites, internal Facebook workplace, other external sites and interactive communications
  • To promote WWF events and activity launches with media coverage, write press releases and participate actively in WWF local, regional and international events.
  • Handle press enquiries and responses to the media.
  • Source and create opportunities to engage with influencers and potential ambassadors to promote the work of WWF Hong Kong.
  • Provide regular reports and analysis on media coverage.
  • To supervise the Assistant Communications Manager (Media) in developing public relations with partners, supporter groups, KOL, celebrities; as well as
  • Managing video shoots and press visits / engagement at WWF activities and attend these events, supporting CEO and other managers with organization level communications.
  • Collaborate with WWF International and other Network offices on replication and information sharing.


  • Degree holder in Communications, Journalism, PR, Translation or related disciplines
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience
  • Media-related experience preferred (in media organizations, PR agencies and/or in house media liaison role with good network across digital and traditional media)
  • Proven experience in managing content across digital and traditional media channels.
  • Multi-tasking, good organizational and project management skills
  • Able to share resources and collaborate in a multi-team and project based environment 
  • Detailed, resourceful, with proven initiative and ability to manage teams to content deadlines
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office , Adobe CC publications software and web content management software
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
