Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality assurance review on risk and compliance related tasks
  • Effectively discharge the responsibility of being the 2nd line of defense
  • Perform AML function on a continuous basis, including the detection and reporting of suspicioustransactions and activities
  • Ensure the alerts generated from the system are fully and properly investigated
  • Identify and investigate the patterns, trends and abnormalities on transaction cases and customer data so as to meet the AML requirements
  • Conduct investigation and file the Suspicious Transaction Report (STR) appropriately on a timely basis
  • Collaborate with other teammates to achieve operation efficiency on process and system review, and standardization
  • Participate in the development, testing, implementation and/or maintenance of the transaction monitoring systems and generate tailor-made reporting requirements, especially when launching new products and services
  • Conduct regular compliance review on business activities and provide advice on compliance related matters
  • Handle customer complaints and draft responses to public queries or issues concerning the protection of Octopus’ customer rights and products, if required
  • Support ad-hoc projects/assignments related to AML/CFT if necessary


  • University Degree holder preferably in Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines
  • At least 3 years of AML compliance related work experience in payment service industry, consulting firms, or financial institutions. Experience in transaction monitoring and/or investigation of suspicious cases is a plus
  • Proficient in using data processing software and database tools, exposure to programming language(VBA & SQL) is a plus
  • Knowledgeable in PSSVFO, HKMA’s AML guideline, Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, OFAC and other sanction related regulations
  • Committed to regulatory requirements with high ethical standard
  • Self-starter with integrity
  • Attentive to details, able to concentrate on processing a large amount of data under tight timeline and minimal supervision without compromising accuracy and quality
  • Good analytical and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks under a fast–paced environment and competing demands
  • Proactively follow up on matters and seek guidance from managers
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Prefer immediately available or in short-notice period candidate
