Compliance Officer

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the Bank complies with its own internal policies and procedures, and with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements
  • Provide support to the Head of Compliance to ensure that risks are adequately managed
  • Assist in the maintenance of compliance procedures and ensure the procedures are being enforced
  • Interpret and disseminate regulatory updates to other departments
  • Liaise with other departments on the application of regulations and implementation of compliance programs
  • Conduct internal reviews and coordinate regulatory reviews / audits
  • Monitor employee dealing activities and handle licensing matters
  • Follow up on compliance issues that require investigation

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Law or above
  • Familiar with the laws and regulations that apply to the banking industry in Hong Kong
  • Experience in dealing with regulators and auditors
  • At least 6 years solid compliance experience in banking, securities or asset management companies
  • Excellent communication skills, independent, an analytical mind and the ability to manage and prioritize work
