Consultancy study for Social Enterprises of Hong Chi Association

The consultant is tasked to conduct a comprehensive review on the operation of the Social Enterprise Office (SEO) of Hong Chi Association (the Association), including but not limited to food and beverage projects, with a view to creating more training and employment opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities. In further enhancing the efficient and smooth operation, the Association will continue to provide a safe and reasonable training environment for the trainees in SEO.

 

Scope

The consultant will work at regular office hours and shall visit and study the various facilities operated under SEO to experience the onsite workflow and to understand the work capability of the trainees in particular and, within 60 days, generate a commercially viable report, with reference to the following areas of concern, and, in the next 30 days, follow by a recommended implementation plan, with reference to the strengths and weaknesses of SEO, for evaluation by the Association on possible execution:

 

Area of Concern

  1. Product range and production capacity;
  2. Kitchen set-up and quality control and hygiene requirement;
  3. Staff structure, job duties, remuneration, training and team building; and
  4. Branding and marketing strategy for coming 3 years with viable financial projection.
