Position summary

The primary focus for the Content Marketing Manager role is to develop, implement, measure the success of and continually improve Williams Lea Tag’s educational and informational thought leadership content. This role will work with subject matter experts within and outside of the organization to identify opportunities to create exceptional content which positions Williams Lea Tag as an industry thought leader, while driving reader engagement and lead conversions.

Job qualifications

  • BA/BS required, preferably in marketing, communications, journalism, or similar
  • Minimum five years’ experience, with a minimum two years’ experience in B2B marketing communications
  • Demonstrated experience creating, writing, editing and proofing a range of B2B content targeting senior-level executives at mid- to large-size companies (and can provide examples)
  • Experience optimizing blog and other content for organic search
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience interacting with senior-level executives
  • Exceptional deadline-driven, detail-focused project management skills and ability to work independently
  • Working knowledge of the creative production process
  • Vertical marketing experience a plus (Retail, Life Sciences, Consumer, Financial Services, FMCG)
  • A never-ending desire to try new and interesting strategies and tactics to improve processes and results

Job duties

Content Strategy & Execution

  • Support the execution of our go-to-market and grow-in-market efforts by developing a powerful B2B content marketing strategy which maps themes, topics and content types to buyer personas and key verticals across the entire customer journey
  • Work with the global marketing team to create and manage a year-long content calendar and produce all deliverables for APAC, including blogs, case studies, white papers, video scripts, infographics, social media posts, one-pagers, advertorials, award submissions, and other content as required
  • Continually identify online and offline opportunities to support the organization’s brand awareness, engagement and retention strategies through the production of educational and informational content
  • Research and stay on top of trends in our key verticals, talk to subject matter experts and content collaborators within these verticals, share your insights with the global marketing team, and use your deep-level knowledge to produce vertical-specific, market-leading content
  • Develop every piece of content with an intent to drive traffic to the website and convert leads
  • Identify opportunities to produce sponsored content and syndicate original content across networks

Data & Insights

  • Work with the digital marketing team to match content to reader intent by identifying top search keywords and incorporating across all relevant content types and delivery channels 
  • Continually improve our web presence and page ranking by optimizing blogs and other written content using a variety of on-page SEO tactics such as: using long-tail keywords to inform blog headers and body copy, title tags, URLs, meta descriptions, and image alt text
  • Continually monitor and report on competitor content which may impact our global marketing strategies
  • Regularly report on content engagement results and ROI
  • Complete the other duties as assigned
