This role has to involve in capturing the requirements of underwriting practice change, perform the analysis and enhance the rules in the Underwriting & Business Rule engines. Furthermore, this role has to act as testing lead in both planning & execution and documentation of business rule changes. Also, this role has to play the role of Business Analyst, in order to define, analyze and documents system enhancement requirements

Job Responsibilities

  • Capture business requirements, perform analysis to evaluate the information gathered and enhance the rules in Underwriting and Business Rule engines
  • Act as testing lead in testing planning & execution with involvement of all stakeholders in planning stage to define testing scenarios and expecting results
  • Monitor & execute user acceptance test, document test results and communicate the results to both IT and business users for rectification / verification
  • Carry out business analysis / impact analysis to define, analyze and documents system requirements for underwriting operational enhancement
  • Support data analysis and AUR performance report preparation

Job Requirements

  • PM or BA experience on Automation project implementation and business rule maintenance
  • Basic understanding on Underwriting and good communication skill with business users
  • Good experience on system testing particularly related to Underwriting operational end to end flow and business rule engines
  • Excellent Microsoft office products (including Excel, PowerPoint, MS project, Access, Visio)
  • Excellent analytical skills, presentation and reporting skills, strong business sense
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, decision making skills
  • Good negotiation and communication skills
  • Good knowledge of underwriting operation in life insurance
  • Business rule engine development experience is preferable
  • Structured Query Language (SQL) knowledge and skill are preferable
