The Department

The Commercial and Contract Management Department is looking for a committed and self-motivated individual to join its team.


The Job

You will:

  • Lead the end-to-end commercial and contract management of a variety of Property projects, from feasibility to handover, delivering visibility and certainty, value and control on Property expenditure with consistent, efficient and effective process and systems
  • Implement procurement, contract, tendering and package strategies that recommend the most appropriate way in which to secure the project while still taking account of the Club's objectives, value drivers and appetite for risk
  • Coordinate with Strategic Procurement, Finance, Property and other relevant functional departments on corporate governance
  • Review quality, robustness, accuracy of deliverables produced by the external QS consultants to improve reliability of information
  • Implement appropriate and effective cost control procedure with periodic cost reporting and regular reviews of these procedures to ensure proper monitoring of project funds
  • Develop effective cost estimates and benchmarks with up-to-date market value and initiate cost studies on various design options, to ensure realistic budget and cost plans to assist decision-making by Management
  • Actively manage risks including, contingency management and forecasting on major projects, retained reserve management and leading the reporting of the claims review and management process to support claims settlement and dispute resolution

About You

You should have:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying with professional qualifications in related disciplines
  • Chartered Member of HKIS / RICS or equivalent
  • Client, contractor and / or consultancy experience
  • Minimum of 7 years’ relevant post-professional qualification work experience in management role in construction industry with property developer, contractor and / or consultant and hands-on cost and consultant /contractor / supplier knowledge
  • Track record of leading major projects / programmes of work
  • Strong estimating, contract management, procurement and tendering capability
  • Ability to lead a team and to report and provide management information across different levels within an organisation
  • Flexible, highly motivated and proactive
  • Excellent interpersonal, supervisory and project management skills
  • Fluent in English and Chinese
