Position Description

The Global Banking and Markets Talent Acquisition team oversee all experienced hire recruitment into the front office, supporting sales, trading, research and banking clients. This role is for a Recruiter to work across Global Markets lateral recruiting supporting Research, Fixed Income (Sales & Trading), and Equities in APAC.

You will work in close partnership with the business and HR to help formulate hiring plans, track progress through the year against that plan and manage hiring approvals. This reach will stretch across the globe as you work alongside our Talent Acquisition counterparts in the US, building and leveraging both regional and global relationships in support of the business agenda.

Our recruiters work with internal candidates as well as leveraging a range of routes to market; partnering with executive search firms, engaging with direct applicants, and employee referrals. A key part of this role is to support our Diversity and Inclusion agenda and develop strategies to meet short and long term goals.


  • Partnering with the business, to provide both consultative and transactional recruitment support to deliver an end-to-end talent acquisition process
  • Close collaboration and partnership with Global Banking and Markets HR to provide a consistent lateral recruiting service as part of a seamless and integrated HR delivery to the client
  • Provide accurate real time reporting on open positions and progress against the hiring plan
  • Screening CVs in line with the line managers’ requirements and arranging of interviews
  • Ensuring that the right candidates are recruited in a timely and cost effective manner
  • Ownership and efficient execution of the new hire approval process working closely with the US
  • Search firm relationship management, including performance monitoring
  • Help to drive enterprise diversity goals and promote internal mobility
  • Providing regular market information from internal and external sources - competitor activity, availability of talent, salary trends and hiring best practice
  • Actively manage risk around selection decisions, interview panels, hiring restrictions, and compensation decisions


  • Previous recruitment experience within front office (Global Markets experience desirable, but not essential)
  • Passionate about knowing the detail and striving to be regarded as a subject matter expert
  • Ability to manage client expectations and relationships with both hiring managers and HR colleagues
  • Experience of managing search firm relationships
  • Outstanding communication skills and proactive approach to stakeholder management and status reporting
  • Ability to prioritise in a sometimes pressurised environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and take pride in accurate and timely completion of tasks
  • Open, accountable and collaborative in working style
  • Experience of working in a large global corporate environment
