Overall purpose of role
Market maker for Asia Credit cash with a focus on the China, India, Korea and Malaysian Markets
Running a global book and need to work very closely with our NY and London counterparts.
Generate trade ideas and work closely with Sales to come up with more axes driven trading
Stakeholder Management and Leadership
Perform market making activities and portfolio management for all Asia cash credit clients
Liaise with research teams and perform own credit analysis to develop trade ideas for clients as well as general portfolio positioning.
Risk and Control Objective Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards
Proven ability to significantly increase trading volume and revenue generation within Credit Trading
Track record in establishing strong relationships with clients across the region
Strong credit analytical skills
Must have very good communication skills to be able to work with sales to move “block" bonds
Have the necessary skills to develop Barclays reputation to become the go-to house for Credit Trading (Top 3)
This role will require the role holder to hold mandatory registrations with the
Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA)
