Customer Engineers are deep and broad technical experts who help our enterprise customers build solutions on Microsoft Azure platform. This is a hands-on technical and customer facing role, Customer Engineers will own the cloud infrastructure and cloud applications development technical activities including requirement analysis, system design, build, implementations, post-production support and enhancement.

The ideal candidates should be passionate about technologies, tech-savvy, fast learners, and good at building technical solutions.


Key responsibilities include:
  • Understand customers' overall applications portfolio, IT and business priorities and success measures to design and implement solutions on Azure platform.
  • Apply technical knowledge and customer insights to create a modernization roadmap. Develop solutions to meet business and IT needs.
  • Drive high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, reusability and reliability in solutions.
  • Develop deep relationships with key customer IT decision makers, who drive long-term cloud adoption within their companies.
  • Be the Voice of the Customer. Share insights and best practices, and connect with Microsoft product engineering teams to resolve technical blockers.
  • Collaborate with other tech professionals in developing end-to-end solutions on Azure platform.
  • Develop new technical skills, knowledge of market trends and competitive insights. Collaborate and share with the technical community. Be an Azure platform evangelist with customers, partners and external communities.

Who We Are Looking For
  • 1 to 5 years of professional experience in consulting, technical presales, or implementation of large scale projects.
  • Proven track record of building deep technical relationships with IT teams in large and highly strategic customers. Experience in managing various stakeholder relationships to get alignments.
  • Ability to use technologies to achieve customer objectives.
  • Ability to drive collaboration and resolve conflicts. Ability to orchestrate, lead, and influence virtual teams, ensure successful implementation of customer projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small technical audiences. Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management.
  • Experience and understanding of large-scale application portfolios in enterprise-wide environments (including migration of on-premise workloads to the cloud).
  • Expert knowledge in one or more of the followings:
    • Cloud platform and infrastructure (e.g. IaaS/PaaS/SaaS, compute, storage, network, containers, IaC, CDN, open source technologies, security, monitoring)
    • Cloud-native application development (e.g. Micro-services, PaaS, Serverless, application performance management, API management)Container management and orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes)
    • CI/CD (e.g. GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
    • Web application technologies, application design, development methodologies (e.g. agile, SCRUM)
    • Programming languages (e.g. Java, Node.js, Python, C++, C#)
    • Data platform technologies (e.g. RDBMS, NoSQL, OLAP, Hadoop, Spark, Databricks, machine learning, ETL, in-memory)
