Data Management and Governance Officer

Job Summary:
As an officer for Data Management and Governance become a key member of AXA Data & Analytics CoE. Within the Data team you will report be responsible for deploying key Data Governance processes that pertain to the management, development and consumption of data across AXA Hong Kong.


Essential Functions of the Job:

• Perform deduplication activities on customer data to help AXA retain a single view of its customers utilising a purpose built tool.
• Follow pre-agreed rules to make decisions on customer data, critical to enable strategic projects and systems used by AXA customers.
• Communicate effectively internally on status of data remediation issues and opportunities with internal departments including root cause analysis
• Direct teams to perform operational manipulation over data for data error remediation, cleaning and resolution activities
• Document, monitor and report on progress of deduplication to senior manager
• Identify areas for improvement covering:

i.Data Quality

ii.Data Capture/Entry

iii.Data Documentation

• Follow the guidelines related to data governance and data quality and ensure clear accountability. In addition, he/she will have a key role working with various stakeholders across the organization to achieve the goals defined in the data governance and data management strategies.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

• Understanding of Master Data Management technology landscape, processes and design principles preferred
• Operational familiarity in the use of meta-data management, data quality, and data stewardship tools and platforms preferred
• Experience in managing enterprise data assets in a large, complex organization preferred
• Ability to analyze complex situations and to derive workable actions
• Strong relationship building skills
• Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change
• Good written and verbal communication in English and Chinese

Education:

Degree with Hons preferred

Experience:

• 1-2 years working in a large financial institution in operational or data role
• Experience of having been engaged within a multi-cultural, multi-disciplined, globally dispersed team

Certification Requirements:

• Any Data Governance, Applicable Vendor or Industry certification is preferred not mandatory

(Candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Officer)
