DATA PROCESSING SERVICES MANAGER, OPERATIONS

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the Data Centre operations in providing 7x24 Hotline line services to Banks, Merchants, External Customers and Parties. The hotline is responsible as focal contact point for all internal and external parties for enquiries and incident escalation, identify support parties, user co-ordination and communicate to business on the IT activities and service impacts;
  2. Manage the Production and Change Control functions to ensure changes and corresponding integrity are properly reviewed and tested prior to the implementation. Establish operations procedures and guidelines, design batch job schedules and file transfer process, carry out software version control and program migration activities; and supervise consumables control in the data center;
  3. Act as the gatekeeper to ensure IT equipment are properly logged with inventory records are updated;
  4. Manage the Data Centre Operations functions to monitor the operations on all the data centers, establish & design regular activities log, plan and issue operators attendance roster, perform quality assurance check on the IT deliverables;
  5. Manage the system performance monitoring function is in place for production equipment and operations are able to response upon any alerts;
  6. Lead the junior staff to conduct technical analysis, problem isolation, trouble shooting and patch/solutions deployment;
  7. Oversee Production Support Analysts, Shift Leaders and Computer Operators to carry out daily operations and feedback to Head of Operations for any findings;
  8. Oversee Production Support Analysts on the batch job scheduling with optimized automation and quality validation processes;
  9. Lead the junior staff to conduct Operations Acceptance Test to ensure system and process operative before production;
  10. Review the completeness of the regular duties or activities on monthly/quarterly/annually basis;
  11. Establish and implement Data Centre Production Services policies;
  12. Meet with internal and external suppliers to explore cost-effective solutions that can meet data center / business requirements as well as improve the data center facilities / infrastructure;
  13. Manage and negotiate with service providers on product/service deliverables, service levels and terms;
  14. Manage and co-ordinate with hardware and software vendors on technical support matters;
  15. Plan, design and co-ordinate the related Data Centre Disaster Recovery Site Drill Tests annually to fulfil Regulators requirements;
  16. Design and monitor KPI tracking & Services Levels and reporting mechanism. Provide corresponding reports regularly;
  17. Manage the backup for systems and applications are meeting the regulatory requirements;
  18. Manage the custodianship of Production Security Credential and conduct periodical credential or password renewal;
  19. Manage the Production Support Analyst on the business application users/administration profile setup and maintenance, periodic review of systems / applications logs and report discrepancies or violation issues; and
  20. Manage the data center physical control and safety.

Qualifications:

  1. University Degree in Computer Science or other IT professional related qualification;
  2. Minimum 10 years relevant managerial experience, preferably in Banking or Financial Institutions sector, including incident and change management, production and change control, IT operations, dealing with services providers and project management;
  3. Customer-oriented, good communication and interpersonal skills;
  4. Strong problem solving skill and analytical mindset; and
  5. Good command of written and spoken English, ability in mandarin speaking considers as advantageous.
