Data Science and Modelling Analyst

Reporting to the Manager, Data Analytics, and assist the Chief Data Officer to lead and support a data-driven strategy in the Bank, and have direct accountability of the bank’s data analytics

Responsibilities:


  • Reporting to the Manager, Data Analytics, and assist the Chief Data Officer to lead and support a data-driven strategy in the Bank, and have direct accountability of the bank’s data analytics
  • Collaboration with GB / GF, FCC, HOST to understand the banks data analytical needs
  • Expertise in data science, modelling and programming to support the banks analytic capacity
  • Take ownership of know-how and be the banks consultancy, advisor the bank’s analytic teams, and assist them to obtain the intelligence to be acquired
  • Work in partnership with IT on the cloud management; This includes
    • Utilisation of tools available in cloud to better serve the analytics
    • Risk and third party management of the cloud vendor
  • Take initiative to identify best practices, industry norms etc on the evolution of business analytics; This can be achieved through participating in industry forums, Fin-tech related seminars
  • Assist to build the target supporting model for data analytics

Requirements:


  • University degree in related disciplines
  • Relevant experience in Data Science, Modelling and some scripting; solid experience in traditional data warehouse or cloud based data management an advantage
  • Strong data project management, business process analysis and numerical skills
  • Attention to detail combined with a strong delivery focus and ability to meet aggressive timeframes with quality results
  • Proven track record using data management tools, and demonstrated knowledge of data structure, data systems / tools and related software and data management policies and practices in a complex organisational environment
  • Strong relationship management capabilities, with great influencing skills and gravitas
  • High effective negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work a high degree of autonomy combined with a decisive collaborative nature
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact and build relationship with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
