Job Description:
- Participate in system implementation project(s).
- Administer relational databases including both or one of the following streams:
- (application-related) data analysis and modelling, database definitions and design, and database performance tuning (e.g. indexing, normalization, etc); or
- (system-related) database installation, upgrade, backup & recovery, high availability and performance monitoring & tuning.
- Provide database support for databases installed in Unix, Linux or Windows environment.
- Install and configure various Oracle database products and HA solutions including Oracle RAC, TDE, Oracle Data Guard and RMAN; or SQL Server with AlwaysOn Cluters; or MariaDB.
- Participate in database/system/network projects enhancement and providing technical advice/solutions.
Job Requirements:
- Degree / Diploma holder in Computer Science, or related disciplines.
- Candidate specialized in either Oracle, MS SQL or MariaDB will be considered.
- Oracle Certified Professional certificate or MCSA: SQL 2016 Database Administration will be an advantage.
- At least 5 years or above related experience in the role of database administrator in one of the following streams:
- (application-related) data analysis and modelling, database definitions and design, and database performance tuning (e.g. indexing, normalization, etc); or
- (system-related) database installation, upgrade, backup & recovery, high availability and performance monitoring & tuning.
- The following knowledges will be an advantage but not mandatory:
- Cloud Environment
- UNIX / LINUX
- Oracle Golden Gate/ODA/Exadata
- SQL Server AlwaysOn
- MariaDB Galera Cluster
