Reporting to Associate Director, Business Intelligence, the SQL Server Database Developer will be responsible for the development, implementation, data extraction, transformation and load data to/from various sources. This is a “hands-on" position requiring solid technical SQL skills, analytical skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 

The successful candidate will have excellent SQL skills, executing data loads using SSIS, and must have high knowledge in 3NF database structures. Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively.



  • Works with the business to understand the business requirements, functional and technical specifications
  • Analyzes and defines data flow requirements and implement ETL packages
  • Maintenance of core applications with SQL Server 2016. May need debugging in C# using VS 2015
  • Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security
  • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
  • Handle complex query tuning and schema refinement


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent education
  • 5+ years MS SQL Server development experience required
  • Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • Expert in SQL programming
  • Knowledge and have worked with ETL tools. Preferably SSIS
  • Good understanding in database design, implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory
  • Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams
