Deputy General Manager

  • assist General Manager or his designate in day-to-day operations management of the Company's business in China and/or Hong Kong;
  • formulate and execute production strategies in accordance with corporate objectives of medical device commercialization initially in the Greater China Region;
  • lead and oversee purchasing & outsourcing activities to achieve improved productivity, cost reduction and on-schedule delivery of goods and sub-contracted services, and to ensure professional integrity and ethics of procurement staff;
  • coordinate with various research and development (“R&D") teams affiliated with the Company, conduct manufacturability analyses of product designs, and assist in establishing/managing corporate R&D center(s) and government-funded projects in China and/or Hong Kong to sustain product innovations;
  • play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational and production excellence;
  • uphold the core values of the Company and build a high performing team;
  • ensure smooth operation of logistics management, budget management, operational strategizing, third party relations, and support services such as HR, IT, Accounts, Finance, QA/QC, Sales & Marketing and Regulatory;
  • contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed; and 
  • perform any other duties as assigned by the Chairman, CEO or their designate.

       Candidates are also expected to fulfill most of the following requirements:

  • Masters degree or above in Engineering or related technical field (electrical, electronics, mechanical and/or industrial engineering);
  • 15+ years of experience in manufacturing industry and production/operations management, preferably on products with precision and/or sophisticated mechanical designs;
  • 10+ years of experience in the medical device industry;
  • in-depth understanding of China GMP and international standards including ISO 13485, QSR and CE;
  • knowledgeable in ERP, QMS, FMEA, DFM, DVT, PVT; experience with precision tooling, metal forming and plastic injection molding processes;
  • high proficiency in English and Chinese (including Mandarin and Cantonese);
  • proven ability to operate in matrix organization and work effectively with leadership, customers, and across geographic and organization boundaries;
  • exceptional communication (written, verbal and presentation) and people management skills.

Primary Working Location: The NISI Group is located at Hong Kong Cyberport.
