Report to :      Head of Finance Department

 

Responsibilities:   

  • Over all direction and control of the Branch’s financial reporting and related activities.
  • Fulfill the requirements of financial reporting by the regulatory bodies and Head Office, as well as provide analysis reports to senior management. 
  • Checker of bank returns, survey reports to the Census Department, Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Hong Kong
  • Coordinate with auditors in Hong Kong and China for semi-annual closing and submit reports per their request
  • Coordinate with auditors in China to prepare the audited account per Chinese Accounting Standard
  • In charge of accounting entries booking and payment of operating expense and fixed assets -In charge of the application of Hong Kong Residence certificate from the Inland Revenue Department Liquidity and Treasury Management
  • Lead the finance department to implement the OPICS system
  • Financial Management and Governance
  • Member of Internal control officer of Finance Department and report the operational risk issue to Risk Management Department
  • Maintain and updated of accounting policies and procedures
  • In charge of accounting operation control, including suspense checking, day-end verification, bank reconciliation
  • Member of new product committee on behalf of finance department -In charge of monthly account book-closing
  • In charge of reporting system for management report, including Fund Transfer Pricing setup, Revenue by relationship manager, by product; ALCO reports, Liquidity ratio and CBRC reports, of which the system is purchased from external vendor
  • In charge of launch of trade finance system, treasury system on behalf of Finance Department, including the Testing plan, monitoring the status of User-acceptance Test and ensure the correctness of General Ledger interface.
  • Leadership and People Management
  • Supervise 6 subordinates in the Department
  • Head office projects
  • In charge of finance team on the Overseas Core Banking System
  • Coordinate with Head office Finance department on the implementation of IFRS9

Requirements:

  • University graduate and qualified accountant with a minimum of 10 years related banking experience.
  • Require in depth knowledge of financial accounting theory, the bank’s accounting system and Government tax and accounting regulations.
