Deputy Manager, Corporate Payment Services

Objective of the Role

  • To provide quality service to the clients of the bank in a controlled, timely and efficient manner.
  • To lead and supervise the Corporate Payment Services team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Check and approve daily transactions, i.e. customer deposits, money transfer and journal batch
  • Check and approve inward and outward paper clearing
  • Update ad hoc changes in customer signature and signing instruction
  • Approve the opening and closing of corporate accounts
  • Investigate cases for non-receipt of funds or any incomplete or irregular items
  • Transaction monitoring - report any irregular, suspicious, NCCT, or terrorists related transaction to the Compliance Officer according to the guidelines of Global Compliance and HKMA as announced from time to time
  • Provide monthly statistic of transaction volume and corporate account for management oversight
  • Review and update operational procedure manual and BCP procedure manual
  • Provide operational support on system upgrade or ad-hoc projects
  • Responsible for staff performance review and appraisal, recruitment


Education & Required Knowledge

  • University – Bachelor’s degree in Banking / Finance or related disciplines


Relevant Experience Required

  • At least 7 years hands on experience as manager in Customer Services in a bank.

Required knowledge

  • Good knowledge in banking products : current account, money transfer, deposit, FX
  • Sound knowledge of international payment and clearing systems
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Window, Excel & Word
  • Loans and trade product knowledge is preferred
  • Language required : Spoken-English, Cantonese & Putonghua; read & written- Chinese & English


  • Experience in servicing clients on the phone
  • Able to work independently and under pressure
  • People management skill
