Deskside Engineer

  • Manage a team of 3-5 engineers
  • Oversee the day-to-day desktop operations and require hands on troubleshooting
  • Work with the team to resolve incidents based on SLA
  • Monitor and track service levels on a daily basis
  • Assign team members to support IT setup and onsite support for any events
  • Overall asset management of client hardware and software
  • Support Video Conferencing and VIP support
  • Remote Support and Prompt response to users
  • Provide Project Support around End Users Computing Projects
  • Prepare inventory or documentation
  • Ensure timely resolution of issues by acquiring necessary information to best measure impact to the Customer
  • Experience on building knowledge base & training
  • One-year contract (Renewable)


  • Degree holder in Computer Engineering / Computer Studies or related disciplines
  • Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in information technology domain, especially on End Users Support
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in leading a team of more than 3 engineers
  • Solid experience on face to face desktop support and helpdesk and highly skilled on problem solving
  • Strong hands on support experience and sound knowledge on basic networks and security
  • Experience supporting more than 400 users
  • Must be results-driven and SLA oriented
  • Good technical knowledge in Desktop aspects
  • Capable of professionally managing team and confidential information
  • Strong computer skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge on some trading applications, Bloomberg, Reuters, BARX, CCASS / Fidessa would be a plus
  • Proficient in Windows 10, MS Share Point, Office , Project, Visio, Adobe Product, SQL, McAfee Client, problem diagnosis tools, ticketing tools and remote support tools
  • Preferably ITIL foundation certified
  • Technical certifications: Microsoft Certified Engineer and Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician have an advantage
  • Experience on building image, and previous experience on building standard practice and knowledge base
  • Knowledge in support cloud solutions, experience in financial support and Support experience on VDI,SCCM and AD would be an advantage
  • Good interpersonal skill, telephone manner and service attitude
  • Good team player, mature, customer-focus, able to work independently and adept at working with end-users with varying levels of technical knowledge
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Chinese and Mandarin
