Deskside Support Supervisor / Service Engineer / IT Support

Job Descriptions :

l Provide day-to-day PC/LAN administration and trouble-shooting for user workstations, notebooks, systems and network equipments

l Provide helpdesk support and perform customization and configuration works following answering problems over the phone and on-site investigation

l Provide routine administration and maintenance on Windows 2000/2003/2008 Servers and Lotus Domino Servers

l Apply regular security patch, renew server certificate, install fixes/security patch, perform system health check

l Set up, maintain, and monitor server backup jobs and necessary data restoration tasks

l Interact and follow up with HW & SW supplier for backbone equipment and software for maintenance and fault reported

l Produce service performance and system performance statistics reports


Job Requirements :

-         Higher Diploma / Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent

-         At least 2 years’ post-qualification IT experience in:

l Performing day-to-day LAN Administration, maintenance and troubleshooting of Windows 2003/2008/2008R2 servertroubleshooting HW, SW, networking and configuration problems in PCs, notebooks & network printers

l Managing Windows 2003/2008/2008R2 system services such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS and RAS

l Managing centralized NAV system software (e.g. Symantec SEP, TrendMicro OfficeScan)

l Managing centralized backup system software (e.g. ARCserve, Backup Exec, Veeam)


- Below professional qualifications is preferred :

l IBM Certified Associate System Administrator

l Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)

l Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
