Desktop Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of windows laptop & desktops, including anti-virus, backup & recovery
  • Maintenance of all network devices including wireless routers, network printers and storage devices
  • Attending to all users’ IT related requests in the office
  • Perform trouble shooting on PCs & peripherals problems, OS related, in-house software, printers and other PC related problems
  • Users profile administration
  • Place service call to other maintenance vendor until the problem has been solved
  • Set-up, installation, re-installation or migration of PCs and peripherals such as but not limited to printers, scanners and projectors
  • Relocation of equipment
  • Installation and configuration of software according to customer standard
  • Answer users’ inquiries and remote support

 

Requirements:

  • Diploma or above in IT / Computer Engineering
  • 1 year's working experience in technical support
  • Experience in basic networking support
  • Experience in supporting OS platform such as Windows OS and MS Office applications
  • Resourceful, good working attitude, take initiative
  • Good communication and administrative skills
