Responsibilities:

  • Assist SA and Team Lead to conduct impact analysis and determine necessary changes on applications for software or environmental changes
  • Support to understand functional, migration, security and quality requirements, business process, workflow and user interface design; and to design and integrate system components including screens, reports, interfaces, automated processes
  • Perform technical design, coding, maintain and support in-house and vendor applications in Intranet and Internet
  • Perform SDLC activities in application or upgrade projects including requirement analysis, prototyping, functional design, technical analysis, implementation, documentation, SIT and UAT and rollout
  • Investigate design issues, documenting and analyzing change requests, and resolving system test and user acceptance test issues
  • Code, test and debug programs
  • Prepare environment for unit test (engagement with Platform and DBA).
  • Prepare unit test cases, test data and expected results (includes all requirements and exceptional results), design test data and test cases of both normal and exceptional data, prepare the test data and test results, execute unit test cases, record the test results and log the defects
  • Provide production support and troubleshooting for applications and systems; fix defects, rebuild and re-test the fixes
  • Identify the impacted test cases and re-test fixes on impacted cases, update the test results and defect logs
  • Assist in stress test and user acceptance test activities.
  • Perform peer review of codes, technical design and test cases & results
  • Perform roll-out and conversion activities, takes ownership of and implements PBIs (Product Backlog Items).
  • Works with the relevant parties to acquire approvals for various technology assessments (e.g. Technology Security Self-Assessment Checklist (TSSAC))

Requirements:

  • Tertiary education in computer science and related subject
  • Proven experience in banking application systems development; design / coding experience in Java / J2EE with 50% time in recent 2 years is a MUST as the job needs coding, develop technical & program specification
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on programming experience in HTML, DHTML, Servlet, JSP, Java, J2EE, EJB and Oracle
  • Familiarity in using Eclipse, Websphere, Oracle, JDBC, JSP, EJB, Struts/Hibernate
  • Technical know-how in application design and implementation like concurrency handling, memory management, numeric precision handling, performance tuning, etc.
  • Experience in investment and customer management systems will be an advantage
  • Java certification or related areas will be an advantage
  • Proactive and able to complete assignments independently with minimum supervision and tight schedule
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese; Mandarin is an advantage
