Development Manager (Java/Digital) - Digital Insurance Platform

It is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading insurance company, the selected candidate will be leading their technology development with various new initiatives. They are working on some large scale innovative digital development with strong Java technology.

Responsibilities:

  • The Development Manager will manage system development, release and support of the digital Java platform systems. This role is also responsible to define project scope / constraints / schedule, resource planning and risk mitigation across the projects.
  • Lead the development team across the entire SDLC across requirement collection, analysis, system design, development, SIT, UAT, implementation, and support.
  • Manage the application architecture design and implementation.
  • Manage and ensure system quality, compliance and security controls.
  • Manage vendor resources on support and development.

Requirements:

  • At least 8 years software development and team management experience across large scale enterprise projects.
  • Development management experience in Java platform technology.
  • Experience in Java application development, including JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, AngularJS, SpringBoot, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, RESTful APIs, JPA, Azure SQL, MS SQL Server.
  • Sold SDLC management experience, with experience in Agile / Scrum would be an advantage.
  • Excellent command in written and spoken English and Cantonese.
  • Bachelor degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science from a reputable University.
  • Leadership skill and team management experience.
