We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Development Manager.

 

Principal responsibilities

The Development Specialist is responsible for leading the delivery of Global Markets (GM) Equity Derivatives and Regulatory Compliance projects.

  • Manage Global Markets Equity Derivatives and Regulatory Compliance projects with Agile project management framework.
  • Schedule and deliver system solutions in accordance with relevant business requirements.
  • Work closely with software engineers and developers, to ensure the delivered projects/ solutions can meet the budget, timeline, and quality objectives in alignment with business strategy.
  • Work with Group/Regional IT to understand the Group’s direction and IT solutions supporting the respective business areas.
  • Provide proactive consultancy to product owners, traders & back-office users in formulating system solution design that can help business to improve operational efficiency and regulatory compliance level.
  • Own end-to-end accountability for an Equity Derivative Treasury System, keep on identifying and developing the most appropriate Technology solutions to meet customer needs as part of the Customer Journey
  • Establish a Devops working environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high-quality code and data
  • Lead various DevOps teams working at all stages of a financial product or service release/change with a strong customer focus and end-to-end journeys, ensuring they have an excellent domain knowledge
  • Support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team
  • Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered
  • Keep up-to-date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency etc. that are applicable

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Minimum 7 years of IT system development experience, with exposure to Global Markets system a definite advantage
  • Good understanding on the Agile project management framework
  • Solid experience on automated testing, DevOps tools and CI/CD pipeline setup
  • Knowledge of Java, IBM WebSphere Application server, Liberty, DB2, MQ preferred.
  • Proven project management skills and experience in managing medium to large scale system rollout. 
  • Strong track record in collaborating with relevant business units and functions in project delivery
  • Strong business knowledge on Treasury products and the trade flow preferred.
  • Proven working experience of coordinating multi-location teams on development and implementation work
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to articulate technical solutions for business’ understanding.
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
