DevOps / Cloud Reliability Engineer @ Top-Tier Global Trading Platform & Market Maker (Low Latency, High Throughput, Linux, AWS)

This firm has an international presence with Grade A commercial offices, and is generating daily trading volumes of billions of USD per day.


  • Constantly creating & implementing ways to improve reliability and scalability of their trading platform
  • Design, deploy and manage high-performance Infrastructure components on AWS
  • Managing microservices & container orchestration using Docker & Kubernetes
  • Manage & automate infrastructure using tools like Chef and Terraform
  • Performance tuning of Linux environment (you need to understand Linux internals very well from kernel to cgroups to network)
  • Be the subject matter expert on cloud, reliability and Linux - collaborating closely with other team members on architectural system design initiatives

Ideal Profile:

  • Undergraduate degree or technical degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering related fields preferred
  • Scripting skills in Python, Ruby, Perl, or Bash etc is a must; software development experience in TDD fashion is preferable
  • Either extensive experience with Linux performance tuning, or proven expertise in microservices & container orchestration
  • Linux system administration skills with experience using Ansible, Puppet or Chef
  • AWS, Azure and other cloud solutions experience a plus
  • Experience working on trading systems at an Investment Bank or buy-side firm would be a major plus
