About Our Client:

Our Client is a prestigious travel destination organization. They are looking for a high calibre to fill in the senior role - Digital Marketing Manager. 


  • Formulate nationwide and regional specific digital marketing and social media strategies, develop roadmap and campaigns that optimize consumer journey and align with established business objectives to uphold the aspiration towards the destination. 
  • Lead the digital team to manage and operate owned digital assets:
    • Social Media Fans Acquisition and User Engagement: develop content plan and social calendar, supervise content write-up in netizen’s language, create good angle to engage a sizable number of target consumers, and build a long-term relationship with Mainland consumers through WeChat & Weibo.
    • Simplified Chinese Site Traffic Generation: leverage on the latest events and happenings in the market to develop digital marketing and social media campaigns to arouse visit intention and drive traffic to PC and mobile sites.
    • Value Offer Users Acquisition and Coupon Download: drive Value Offer platforms in terms of user number and coupon usage performance on Dianping, Alipay Service Counter, Sina App & WeChat.
    • Drive App download: develop coop programs with App download platforms, feed content in social media, travel and lifestyle forum/BBS.
  • Drive the digital team to maintain a pulse on the changing consumer insights, social media landscape, digital technology trends, and upcoming digital marketing opportunities.
    • Identify partnership opportunities and establish relationships with Baidu, Alibaba and Tencent groups and other popular and rising digital platforms.
    • Build relationship with KOLs (included key media’s social accounts) and engage their support to uplift positive voice of the destination.
  • Supervise and manage the digital team to monitor and control the quality of nationwide and regional specific digital marketing and social media campaigns to ensure they are well implemented, in accordance with the agreed strategies and guidelines
    • Work closely with Area Managers and respective marketing teams in 4 Mainland offices and Digital Marketing team in headquarter on national/regional digital marketing and social media campaigns to drive content syndication and messaging initiatives.
    • Lead the digital team to provide support for trade team in facilitating digital marketing and social media creative development, tracking progress and evaluating effectiveness.
    • Analyze and track the performance and effectiveness of digital marketing and social media campaigns, identify the area of improvement from both creative and media investment perspective. Lead digital marketing analysis and best practice sharing across the teams periodically.
  • Manage and define work scope of digital and social media agencies and the digital team on daily basis to ensure creative, production and media resources are of optimal efficiency, creativity and flexibility to achieve KPIs.
    • Derive insights and directions from the social listening reports submitted by agencies.
    • Provide strategic inputs and drive crisis management planning and implementation timely to rebuild the destination reputation when negative incident happened.

Job Requirements

  • University degree holder, preferably degree obtained in Marketing Communications / Advertising
  • Minimum 10 years Digital Marketing experience in multinational or international corporations or advertising agencies in China
  • Solid project management and planning experience required, experience in developing integrated consumer marketing and marketing communications programs and strategic decision making are essential
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Skilful in presentations, negotiations and relationship building
  • Experience in destination our tourism-related marketing is a distinct advantage
  • Able to work independently, long hours and under pressure
  • Fluency in Chinese and English is essential
