Job Responsibilities:

  • Support department head to drive digital product vision and strategy for the focused areas/products
  • Lead and implement assigned strategic initiatives to ensure meeting the delivery timeline, scope and cost
  • Set ambitious and clear product vision and communicate vision effectively to stakeholders, the team, and the organization
  • Keep abreast of digital best practices in the industry, utilize market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into valuable outputs and outcomes
  • Develop target operating model in digital client journey to strengthen company’s digital and data capabilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure vision and products align within team strategy and requirements
  • Prioritize and manage backlog items and maintain a backlog 3 to 4 sprints ahead of the team
  • Create the user stories and acceptance criteria for the product. Determine end-to-end team output strategy from inception to production
  • Defines and executes go-to-market plan, working to ensure that key stakeholders have what they need to be successful
  • Be accountable for product-specific OKRs and communicate progress to stakeholders
  • Leading the roll out of assigned strategic initiatives from planning, execution to closing
  • Provide thought and action leadership in times of ambiguity or competing priorities
  • Ensure adherence and alignment of project teams with Sun Life’s program management methodologies and where appropriate tailoring to meet the needs of the business stakeholders

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above
  • Over 10 experience years relevant experience
  • Broad knowledge of all aspects of the systems/software development lifecycle, i.e. Scrum, Agile, waterfall
  • Sound knowledge of life insurance products, operations, customer experience and digital technologies
  • Solid experience designing and driving sizable digital initiatives within insurance is preferred
  • Understand digital best practices in Mainland China is a definite advantage
  • Knowledge of business processes and change management
  • Strong problem solving and prioritization skills
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and inter-personnel skills
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills with stakeholders
  • Proficient in spoken & written English and Chinese
  • Mandarin is an advantage
