Digital Strategy Partner is a senior executive position accountable for providing sustainable strategic business advice to customers by partnering with them and account teams in a forward looking manner to uncover opportunities and improve business model(s) and processes to support the customer's future business and corporate strategy. Drive digital transformation and innovation topics for the customer’s business; and, transform strategic objectives into structured breakdown of business functions, capabilities, roles, organization, processes.

The position engages with customers from management consulting perspective to address their business challenges / initiatives by leveraging SAP solutions.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Lead business focused end-to-end digital transformation engagements with top accounts, incl. strategy, business model innovation, Line of Business
  • Work exclusively with 1-3 customers to become a trusted partner and identify industry trends and disruptions that might present an opportunity or threat
  • Help customers create and execute their digital/corporate strategy and map existing and potential IT initiatives to that strategy
  • Create and update business value based multi-year roadmaps
  • Business capability to application mapping to IT and platform strategy and solutions (along with Business / Enterprise Architect)
  • Incubate new solutions & position SAP innovations

Experience & Educational Requirements

  • Management consulting experience - 5+ years (latest role: partner or 1 level below partner, Bain, McKinsey, BCG, or equivalent)
  • 10+ years work experience on interface of business strategy and technology
  • Experience advising C level on digital strategy
  • Work experience in SAP industries (High Tech, Retail, Telecommunications, Oil & Gaz, Manufacturing)
  • Engineering degree from top school
  • Deep industry knowledge and forward thinking
  • Design Thinking, modeling techniques, business analysis, strong project management and communications skills
  • In-depth understanding of corporate strategy, org. design, BPR, benchmarking, financial statement analysis, value and business case analysis
  • Interpret the value from IT investments via documentation of business performance potential, process improvement and monetary justification, e.g. business cases
