Chinese Translator / Digital Sub-Editor

Tatler Asia seeks a Chinese translator / digital sub-editor to join our team. The editor will be responsible for editing and optimising machine- and human-translated digital news and features produced by writers and editors across the region.

Requirements

• Native speaker, reader, writer
• Strong English to Chinese translation skills
• Ability to learn and use tools to perform translation and publishing tasks
• Relevant experience in digital content writing, editing, and SEO optimisation
• High-level digital proficiency and interest in continuing education and innovation
• Attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong adherence to deadlines
• Independent worker with high productivity and output who is also able to thrive in a team environment

  Tasks

• Translation and subediting
• Optimization for digital, including but not limited to:

1. SEO optimization for Google and Baidu
2. Keyword research
3. Internal linking
4. Headline optimization
5. Keyword and key phrase tagging
6. URL optimization

Location: Wong Chuk Hang, Hong Kong
