Job Description


The position of Direct Dialogue Senior Team Supervisor is located within the Fundraising & Engagement Department of Greenpeace East Asia (GPEA). The  Direct Dialogue Senior Team Supervisor‘s responsibility is to take a role along with the Direct Dialogue Manager for designing the Direct Dialogue strategy and the implementation of that strategy – in Hong Kong and ensuring that the daily administrative and fieldwork operations of the Direct Dialogue program in Hong Kong are met. The primary responsibility of the Senior Direct Dialogue Team Supervisor is to ensure that Greenpeace East Asia in Hong Kong reaches its new supporter acquisition targets that allow the organization to achieve its campaign and organizational objectives. He/or She will also ensure smooth operational running (including some essential administrational duties) of the Hong Kong office.


1. Follow-up and Reporting:

  • To oversee along with Team Supervisors & Team Leaders that new donor sign-up forms are correctly filled out and that supporters are in line with policies for age, payment method, etc. 
  • To manage the daily reporting on the results of each shift and team members - To compile weekly individual performance reports.
  • Others: - Work on special projects (e.g., ship tours, campaign events, virtual fundraising event) or any other fundraising work as instructed by the Direct Dialogue Manager.


2. Venue approach and venue coordination: 

  • To oversee the plan for venues, including scheduling and scouting for fieldwork locations.
  • To coordinate and oversee site visits to new locations. 
  • To mentor and coach senior team leader and team leaders
  • To facilitate and direct venue approach work in the appropriate market/jurisdiction.
  • To implement and track results of location planning.
  • To obtain all necessary permits with the help of relevant HR, Fundraising staff in GPEA.
  • To sort out insurance and other requirements when necessary.
  • To guide in coordinating appropriate set-up for different venue approaches.


3. Recruitment and Training:

  • To lead the planning for different channels to recruit enough fundraisers, including the tracking of the most effective recruitment channels. 
  • To coordinate the ongoing fundraiser training program and develop fundraiser training materials, including the development of accurate copy, artwork, and scripts for all Direct Dialogue activities.
  • To conduct or coordinate different campaign/motivational sessions which increase Direct Dialogue staff knowledge and expertise on Greenpeace campaigns and campaign project objectives.


4. Ad-hoc support for the department

  • Provide ad-hoc support for different areas in the 1st Year Fundraising Journey Team, as instructed by the line manager.

  • Street Fundraising skills
  • Bachelor degree or above in administration, social sciences, or other related discipline and a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant job experience, either in a similar position in the non-profit sector or in a similar role in the profit sector.
  • A passion for the environment and the power of direct dialogue fundraising to make change happen
  • Prior experience in coordinating and reporting on budgets for events and programs
  • Proven ability to deal with multiple tasks in a courteous and service-oriented manner in a demanding working condition.
  • Strong computer skills with Word, Excel;
  • Experience working within an INGO or NGO environment
  • Spoken English, written Chinese, and spoken Chinese (Cantonese) are required.


  • Salary 25K plus Performance bonus
