The Role Responsibilities
 
Strategy and Execution
  • Assist Head of Business Planning Manager and Regional Head of Private Banking ('PvB') to develop and implement strategy by market and region with clear action plans.
  • Support Regional Head of PvB strategic agenda, aligned with the PvB and One Bank agenda.
  • Co-ordinate, prioritize initiatives with strategy roadmap.
Sales Management
  • Work closely with Finance and Product teams in reviewing progress against business targets & objectives and productivity ratios.
  • Work closely with Market Heads to implement action plan to achieve revenues, NNA growth and cost control.
  • Assist Regional Head of PvB to prepare for meetings.
  • Prepare monthly business reports for Regional Head.
  • Represent front office to attend meetings.
  • Develop framework to facilitate sales effectiveness.
  • Support Management daily to manage the business.
  • Coordinate Sales Campaigns.
Organization effectiveness and Improvement
  • Coordinate Front Office feedback and specify business requirements.
  • Improve organizational effectiveness and resources efficiency by coordinating resources.
  • Initiate, lead and /or participate in change initiatives and their subsequent implementation.
  • Interface with all support areas on issues resolution and organization improvement.
Administration and Control
  • Drive issue resolution pertaining to client on-boarding, infrastructure and AML.
  • Work with businesses to define process and procedure gaps.
  • Work closely with other business support units to address business requirements and priorities. Maximize the alignment between front and back functions.
  • Work in close partnership with control functions to ensure the control is in place and the market activities are aligned with the local regulatory and corporate governance requirements.
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Other Responsibilities
Referral Management (PvB)
  • Manage all PvB business referral programs such as immigration CIES, UK Visa scheme, etc.
  • Coordinate internal cross segments business referrals i.e., to/from Priority Banking, Business Banking, Commercial Banking and Corporate Institutional Banking.
  • Briefing PvB Team Leader or Sales Head on referral prospect contact history and processing assignment of CA or RM.
  • Work closely with PvB Finance team to monitor status of referral or successful closure and amount of AUM.
  • Provide regular update of referral progress to Management.
  • Work along with Market Head on periodic risk assessment.

  • Regional Head, Market Heads and other support function heads.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience in financial industry, 3 years of which is expected to be from private banking.
  • Prior experience in management consulting is preferred.
