Director, Digital Design & Development

  • Degree holder in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or other
related disciplines
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in using digital software and
tools in Product Development and Tooling process, knowledge in design
and mechanics are essential
  • Proficient PC skills with good knowledge in CAD / CAE / CAM and Media
and Entertainment software; Experience in computer graphics software
e.g. Free Form, Maya is a plus
  • Highly motivated to collaborate with a diverse range of people with
strong strategic planning and leadership abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese

Job Duties:
  • Lead the development and integration of technical software
capabilities (i.e. digital sculpting, CAD geometry, rendering, etc.)
supporting Product Development, Design, and Engineering using
contemporary tools and processes to produce final "tooling ready"
product geometry
  • Collaborate with peers to develop global Product Geometry standards
and strategies, effective processes, workflows, and best-practices for
Design & Development throughout the product life cycle
  • Define appropriate infrastructure to enable efficient file sharing
between Design, Development and Manufacturing sites, seamless software
integration, and effective use of product data management (asset
  • Develop and supervise training programs for product development
vendors and internal parties to ensure consistent use of Engineering
standards and existing digital library
  • Develop relationships with technology providers and explore relevant
new technologies
