Reporting to the Associate Vice-President (Student Affairs), the appointee will be responsible for the overall management of the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) of the University. The OSA is responsible for the planning and implementation of integrated student development programmes in support of the whole-person development of students of the University and the provision of services to students. The appointee will manage a team of professional and administrative staff to ensure effective planning and delivery of a comprehensive suite of support and services to nurture students’ development, including co-curricular programmes, extra-curricular activities, fully-integrated residential education, wellness and counselling support, internship placement and career development opportunities. The OSA also serves as a bridge between the University and various student societies.
Applicants should have (i) a solid academic background, preferably with a postgraduate degree; (ii) substantial management experience and a proven track record of working with students in a higher education setting; (iii) a strong passion for student development; (iv) outstanding verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese (including Putonghua); (v) strong organizational, problem-solving and leadership skills with an ability to inspire and motivate others to address emerging challenges; and (vi) excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively and build positive collaborative relationships with various stakeholders.
Salary and Fringe Benefits
The commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
