Director of Technical Operations

  • Engineering, construction/Installation, Commissioning, Service/improve Maintenance/Repair including management of vendors for timely completion of tasks
  • Develop, planning and roll-out Service concepts to support front-line Sales
  • Fleet/site Management to enhance availability, performance to meet service expectations continuous improvements etc.) including implementation and monitoring of HSD standards together with PSO/FTS teams
  • Coordinate, cooperate and negotiate with suppliers to support R&D, Engineering, Commissioning etc.
  • Technical discussions and negotiations with suppliers and customers with regards to product performance, warranty, technical deficiencies
  • Build up and develop a team of Technical Service/Commissioning specialists for international assignments
  • Develop and implement training concept/program for engines, generators and systems to improve operational staff's efficiency and effectiveness
  • Monitor service quality, analyse gaps, create and realize improvement plans and measures
  • Identify potential service partners and assess/develop their technical skills
  • Develop and implement Value Added Solutions, such as Remote Monitoring, Remote Control, Digital Solutions, Efficiency increase etc.
  • Functional and disciplinary management of subordinates and external resources

Requirements :

  • Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 8 years of working experience in the fields of Power Generation/Distribution, Engines/Propulsion or Automation/Controls/Instrumentation
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in a supervisory, managerial or leadership position
  • High level of experience/expertise and sound knowledge of Gas and Diesel engines, gensets, components and systems and their operational/maintenance/lifecycle requirements
  • Technical all rounder with an ability to learn fast and transfer knowledge to others
  • Excellent professional communication skills (fluent in technical/business English in speaking and writing), interpersonal and leadership skills.  Assertiveness and convincing appearance
  • Advanced computer skills and good familiarity with relevant software and information sources
  • A positive and "can do" attitude, initiative, enterprise and self-motivating personality with strong drive, determination and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel and willingness to accept long term assignments
