Director, Operational Excellence - Insurance

My client is a multinational insurer looking for a Director to drive continuous improvements and transformation/change of the business for APAC region.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading and strengthening the continuous improvement of performance and culture in the Asia region.
  • Manage and lead a portfolio of programs and projects, ensuring successful and smooth delivery of the project within the agreed time, budget and goal outcome.
  • Identify opportunities and champion proposals for improvement / transformation (process analysis, business case, etc.)
  • Assist in strengthening operational and business excellence in the Asia region.
  • Assess the performance and capability of processes (productivity, waste, variation, quality, etc.) and design efficient and effective solutions (value streams, workflows, metrics, etc.)
  • Act as a "change manager" to communicate and handle new changes within the business.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or above holder
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience, preferablyfrom insurance industry (life)
  • Certification training and substantial practice in Lean, Six Sigma, CMMI or other process improvement methodologies
  • Project management certification training (e.g. Prince 2, PMI, Agile)
  • Good presentation and communication skills, ability to communicate and influence senior stakeholders
