  • Bachelor's Degree or Master Degree in Engineering, Finance, Project Management and/or Business Management
  • 10 years' experience in the procurement function focused on direct spend
  • 3 years' experience in Outside Services category management
  • Fluent in business English
  • Strong management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and drive accountability
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels within the organization as well as deliver oral presentations on moderately complex subject matter
  • Demonstrated experience driving cross functional collaboration across business units and geographies
  • Travel: Up to 50%

Job Duties:
  • This role reports to the VP, Procurement-Direct Material
  • As the leader of the Outside Services category team, you will be responsible for developing and executing Outside Services category strategies across the range of outsourced manufacturing (molding stamping, plating, assembly) including identifying and filling gaps in the supply base and developing suppliers into strategic alliances
  • The scope of responsibility is approximately $200M in global spend and requires working closely with the internal stakeholders for the Outside Services category to champion global strategic sourcing activities to reduce costs, secure supply, and optimize deliveries with an intent to ultimately prevent stock outs, leverage spend across internal buying groups, and maintain continuity of supply
  • Additionally, this team is responsible for directly managing the top 20% of Outside Services suppliers (e.g. business reviews, contracting negotiations, etc.)
  • promote cross-functional collaboration between business groups, drive communication and work to foster a culture of innovation providing value to the business.
  • Manage $200M global Outside Services category spend by working with internal stakeholders and developing/ managing strategic suppliers
  • Lead spend & defined savings plans across category suppliers
  • Participate and support active projects across all levels of procurement
  • Evaluate market and emerging technologies for new supplier sourcing
  • Identify and manage strategic supplier partnerships
  • Define and maintain category supplier strategies
  • Negotiate contracts and manage key strategic supplier relationships
  • Define and lead the supplier management / performance review programs
  • Manage AVL for category suppliers
  • Leverage consolidated spend to improve TCO through negotiations and contracting
  • Monitor sourcing and procurement innovation trends in the Outside Services marketplace
  • Manage, coach, and support a team
