Description

Bras Product Development:

  • Lead Bras Product development as a category for LBrands
  • Thorough understanding of the global vendor/supply base supporting the related category for Lbrands & the market
  • Assess current talents & skill set, identify gaps, coach, fill & motivate
  • Work coherently with the Ops Director & cross-functional partners to define & optimize the Product Development process for Bras across brands
  • Own & create an one eye view & one voice to our vendor/supply base from a Product development process & margin/costs perspective
  • Own Bras development allocation in conjunction with cross-functional teams (CFTs), Manufacturing Excellence & US counterparts
  • Work collaboratively with other category, brand & CFT leaders to build mid/long term sourcing strategies to ensure we are in the right vendor/supply base to support enterprise vision & business direction
  • Work collaboratively with Manufacturing Excellence team to build complete cost processes & tools

Product Development operational excellence :

  • Work coherently with Ops leader & other Category/PD leaders to harmonize process across brands, countries & categories.
  • Monitor on ground team & vendor/supply base ensuring execution excellence on the aligned PD process
  • Work coherently with CFT partners to assess risks at development stage for quality, costs & aesthetic right products. Build strong working relationship & work in sync with CFT & US counterparts
  • Engage & drive on ground team & vendor/supply chain on different seasonal deliverables like supporting brands' trips, ensuring samples delivery on time , meeting margin & lead-time goals while supporting development allocation strategy by category
  • Engage with Manufacturing Excellence team to drive the team & vendor base on Fact Based costing work
  • Work collaboratively with CFT partners & on-ground team to drive different initiatives

Talent Management/ Development:

  • Coach direct reports on creation and execution of IDP / PPO / Mid Year / Performance Review / OLR profile / Career Management Profile.
  • Identify continuous learning opportunities for self and direct reports
  • Responsible for the hiring process
  • Own onboarding for new hires and newly promoted associates
  • Prepare and participate in Talent Calibration, OLR and Succession planning
  • Set and manage department Blue chips
  • Provide coaching & feedback
  • Develop team building activities
  • Design and recommend training needs for department
  • Development and retention touch bases with High Performers (hipos)
  • Lead and drive Associate Opinion Survey initiatives
  • Responsible for rewarding and recognizing direct reports

Qualifications
  • 15+ years related experience
  • Profound Bras product knowledge & costs expertise with the ability to influence the brand & the vendor/supply chain
  • Solid Risk assessment capabilities, such as, the ability to review product features, material compatibility, raw materials componentry & attributes to validate performances & call out quality/capacity risks & propose options & solutions to resolve
  • Able to navigate and influence as trusted adviser to leadership team including those in brands
  • An entrepreneur mindset who can work well in a matrix organization with the ability to pull cross functional teams, US counterparts & peers/teams from different countries together & drive to deliver
  • Ability to assess talents on their related skillsets (product specific)
  • Ability to train & coach his/her teams to fill the missing skill set &/or gaps
  • Have the experience & ability to build processes & tools from scratch
  • Have the experience & ability to manage multiple brands, cultures & teams
  • Good understanding of the vendor/supply base in the related geographic market & related category
  • Good understanding of compliance, regulations, global trades, legal, IP and import regulations
  • Proven record in excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor Degree/Higher Diploma or equivalent
