The Role Responsibilities

  • To advise, provide support and assistance to ensure appropriate internal control systems for meeting regulatory obligations and business conduct has been established, in accordance with the Group compliance standards and local regulatory and legal requirements
  • To handle and advise in driving the development and implementation of the local privacy management program including coordinating with the Group Privacy, and where necessary leverage on its standards and tools
  • To handle and advise business and support units to establish appropriate policies, manuals and procedures for their operations with due regard to all applicable Group requirements and regulatory requirements
  • To handle and manage outsourcing applications or notifications to regulator
  • To record in Obligation Register every circular and regulation in accordance to the guideline from regulatory compliance and keep track of the status of gap analysis as well as the implementation of corrective measures in Virtual bank, if applicable
  • To handle and advise on regular submissions or ad-hoc surveys, regulatory information request or enquires, and liaise with regulators and coordinate appropriate responses to their queries
  • To monitor or event, internal or external and escalate significant events to Direct Line Manager as appropriate.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Extensive experience in compliance, or related control discipline in banking industry.
  • Experience in the construction of policy and governance framework.
  • Understanding of the key features of relevant laws and regulations relevant to the retail digital bank
  • Understanding of best practice risk management techniques and frameworks
  • Genuine interest and ability to create the structure and context with piecemeal info.
  • The ability to perform hands-on and detailed work. Able to understand long conduct constructive discussion with senior stakeholders, and lead to conclusion.
  • Team player, ability to work in a team environment with different cultures
  • Willing to stand and work in ambiguity and fast-changing environment
  • Sound judgement on business practices, regulatory relationship management and reputational risk
  • Exemplary integrity, ethics, independence and resilience
