FICC SMM is a cross-asset systematic market-making business covering FX, commodities, interest rates, and credit. Our front-office team includes a mix of technologists, quants and traders responsible for all aspects of the business, from quantitative research and trading to low-level software implementation.


Job Summary & Responsibilities
Devise new trading algos, understand existing ones and optimize their performance.
Work with traders and quants to identify and realize opportunities to enhance the FICC SMM software platform and commercial offering.
Collaborate within FICC SMM to build out new businesses and to grow the capacity and scope of existing ones.
Work with sales and trading to identify clients in Asia who may have appetite for algo execution and prepare tailored pitches
Conduct high-level FX market microstructure and execution strategy analysis, and present these results to both internal and external audiences
Guide the development of pre-trade, real-time monitoring and post-trade analytics infrastructure and tools for both internal and external audiences
Regularly interact with clients across Asia to provide them with execution analysis and market colour to help them optimise their use of FX algos
Seek to understand where algo execution fits within the rapidly evolving competitive and regulatory landscape in the eFX space
Work with 3rd party vendors to understand their product development cycles as well as distribute FX algo products via those channels
Basic Qualifications

Successful members of our team hold Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degrees in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) discipline. We are interested in bright individuals who have strong mathematical and computational backgrounds, experience in electronic financial markets, and who possess skills in the following areas:
Previous experience in electronic and high-frequency trading
Previous coding experience in Java/C++/Python
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as the role requires the ability to break down a technical conversation to a non-technical person and vice-versa

Preferred Qualifications
Product Development or User experience/design experience
Previous experience with analysis of large data sets (SQL or KDB)
