The Green Earth (TGE), a local green charity, is looking for a new teammate who is passionate and capable to bring about changes to address the most pressing environmental issues confronting humankind today.

The campaign team in TGE is responsible for the development and implementation of environmental initiatives and campaigns to safeguard the environment. The Manager will act as a team leader to achieve the organization’s mission and vision.

Key objectives of the post:

  • To deliver the organization’s mission and vision through developing and implementing environmental campaigns and communications strategies;
  • To develop and oversee the development of annual campaign plan and strategies;
  • To liaise and build relationships with stakeholders in the government, the business sector, academia, media, community and other sectors to achieve campaign objectives and further strengthen the credibility of the organization for achieving greater environmental benefits;
  • To explore and maintain up-to-date knowledge and information of environmental affairs;
  • To offer support to project teams in developing communications and education strategies;
  • To plan, develop and manage content on social media platforms and publicity of TGE; and
  • To raise the profile of TGE further in society

Requirement

  • Passionate about making a difference to the environment. Had a strong belief on the vision and mission of The Green Earth (http://greenearth.org.hk);
  • A Bachelor's degree or above in Environment, Communication, Public Administration or other related disciplines;
  • Strategic thinking and experienced in environmental topics such as waste management, climate and energy, etc;
  • Experienced in campaigning and/or other professional experiences from the public policy, journalism and online campaigning sectors;
  • At least 5 years of working experience, preferably in relevant fields;
  • A strong track record of leadership in strategy and content development;
  • Strong leadership and good team player;
  • Self-motivated, to drive your own workflow and output;
  • Good command in written and spoken Chinese and English;
  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Processing;
  • Knowledge of social media platform. Graphic design and video editing skills will be an advantage;
  • It is necessary to work in non-regular hours in the evenings, weekends or public holidays; and
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Senior Officer.
