Exchange Traded Derivatives - GMI Application Developer


You will be a GMI developer/Analyst working with the development managers and team leads to create GMI program implementations matching the business requirements.

This would include:

  • Gather requirements from business users
  • Create functional specifications
  • Identify the best approach to solve business needs
  • Implement the identified solution
  • Validate the implementation with test cases
  • Hand over to support after deployment

You will be part of the APAC GMI Exchange Traded Derivative (ETD) IT team, based in Hong Kong.
GMI is a widely used settlement system for derivative products, published by the vendor company FIS.
We are responsible for implementing and/or developing GMI solutions suiting the needs of our business users and following industry/regulatory demands.

You have:

  • Strong general knowledge of AS400/ iSeries system
  • Experience in developing and maintaining applications in an AS400/ iSeries system (in CL, RPG , RPGLE, SQL languages) in the financial industry.
  • Skills in GMI, SQL, Databases and software engineering
  • Experience in working on multiple projects with different release dates simultaneously
  • Knowledge of financial market and finance products (derivatives, futures, options …) is a plus.

You are:

  • A team player (regular coordination with other GMI developers, GMI QA and support teams is expected )
  • Clear, concise and organized in your explanations and documentations
