Major Duties :
(a) To provide clerical support in one or more of the following areas:
(i) general administration and personnel;
(ii) student affairs and student admissions;
(iii) book-keeping, supplies and stores administration;
(iv) promotion and publicity, and committee work;
(v) book processing duties, including acquisition and/or cataloguing for library materials; and
(vi) secretarial and administrative support for senior level staff;
(b) To handle enquiries and provide counter services;
(c) To perform duties in Printing Room including:
(i) franking of outgoing mail;
(ii) carrying out receipt and dispatch, janitorial and messengerial services;
(iii) taking up menial work; and
(d) To assist in the stock-taking and maintenance of inventory record.
(a) Completed Form 5 or equivalent;
Proficiency in computer software application such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Chinese word processing and/or simple webpage design;
(c) Good command of Chinese and English, preferably with knowledge of Putonghua;
(d) Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills;
(e) Ability to work independently and be a good team player; and
(f) Good work initiative and be customer-oriented.
(1) Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend a Computer Skills Test including MS Word, Chinese word processing [Cangjie (倉頡) or Quick (速成)] and MS Excel.
(2)The appointees may be required to work irregular hours or shifts and perform duties on Saturdays or Sundays as necessary.
(3)In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees who will be posted to Shine Skills Centres (SSC) will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process.
