OFFICE OF FACULTY OF ENGINEERING
The appointee will be required to:
(a) provide logistic and operational support for various meetings, activities and events of the Office;
(b) assist in the development of faculty publications and marketing collaterals;
(c) manage and update website and other online promotion channels;
(d) provide administrative support to academic programmes, student records, registration, examination and research matters;
(e) compile statistical reports and maintain database of the office;
(f) handle enquiries, manage the reception counter and assist in general office management; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Dean of Faculty or his delegates.
The appointee may be required to work outside office hours.
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree or an equivalent qualification;
(b) at least one year of relevant working experience;
(c) a good command of English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage;
(d) proficiency in computer software applications including Microsoft Office and Chinese Word Processing, preferably with knowledge of desktop publishing software such as Photoshop and Illustrator;
(e) good communication, interpersonal and organization skills; and
(f) self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
Preference will be given to those with working experience in tertiary institutions/similar organizations. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to take a written test and a hands-on test in computer software applications.
Remuneration and Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
