Executive Assistant

CHINESE MAINLAND AFFAIRS OFFICE

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a)     provide administrative support to the Director of Office;

(b)     assist in preparing departmental reports and publications in line with the Office’s scope of activities;

(c)     liaise with partners in the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong for networking and facilitation of programme/project execution;

(d)     assist in departmental office administration; and

(e)     perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Office or her delegates.

Working on irregular hours on a frequent basis, including evenings, Saturdays and Sundays, and occasional travel outside Hong Kong may be required.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a)     have a recognised degree or an equivalent qualification, preferably with one to two year(s) of post-qualification administrative experience;

(b)     be able to work independently and proactively;

(c)     have good communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills;

(d)     have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and

(e)     have good hands-on computer skills.

Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.  Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract.  Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.  Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
