Job Description

Main Responsibilities:

  • To capture and originate DCM transaction mandates with a primary focus on FIG for the APAC region
  • To formulate and execute the bank’s FIG DCM strategies and to get the buy-in from all the internal stakeholders
  • To deepen the bank’s existing FIG relationships and bring in new FIG relationships
  • To market and promote the bank's key DCM product capability (such as covered bond, green bond, etc)
  • To work closely with the bank’s global DCM/Syndicate franchise (including but not limited to CD/MTN, USPP, etc)
  • To provide the necessary assistance/support for additional work outside of the FIG sector when needed
  • To lead and guide the junior DCM associates and analysts
  • To be responsible for delivering the assigned budget

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience

General skills:

  • Technically sound on FIG DCM products and deal processes (including but not limited to public issuance, PP, CD/MTN, bank/insurance capital, covered bond, green bond, etc) in US$ and EUR (knowledge on selective Asian local currencies such as CNH, HK$, SG$, AU$, etc would be a plus)
  • Be able to market, structure and execute transactions independently
  • Relevant experience at the Executive Director or Director level
  • Meeting licensing requirements by relevant regulatory bodies for handling and advising on DCM products in the region
  • Based in HK
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin (French or Japanese would be a plus)
