The Academic Registry is now looking for a dynamic and experienced person to perform administrative duties in the Admissions Office. Major duties include taking up the coordination work of undergraduate direct admissions (non-JUPAS scheme), promoting the University’s programmes locally and outside Hong Kong, planning strategically for local and non-local outreach activities, managing computerized systems and providing secretarial support to committees. Student recruitment trips to the mainland and overseas countries/regions are required. As a senior staff member, the appointee will also have to assist the Office Head in supervising a team of support staff, as well as liaison with different units within and outside the University.
Applicants should have a recognized degree plus five years of post-qualification work experience. Work experience in tertiary educational institution, especially in the area of admissions particularly international student recruitment, will be a definite advantage. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), good organizational, interpersonal, presentation and supervisory skills, ability to work independently and under pressure. Solid experiences in local and non-local student recruitment will be an added asset. Candidates with IT proficiency are preferred.
Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of one year. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
