Executive Officer II (carrying the job title of ‘Marketing and Communications Manager, SCS’)

The appointee will be required to (a) plan and implement integrated advertising and marketing campaigns to promote the corporate image and programmes of the School; (b) oversee the content and presentation of the School’s websites and other social media/e-marketing platforms; (c) plan and organise School-wide events, exhibitions and activities; (d) work closely with other units and external parties on marketing and public relations initiatives; and (e) perform other duties as assigned. Working outside normal office hours will be required when necessary.
Applicants should have (i) a recognised Bachelor’s degree (majoring in Marketing or Communication is preferred); (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: http://www.per.cuhk.edu.hk/JobVacancies/LanguageforEO.aspx; (iii) high proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese; (iv) at least 2 years’ solid experience in planning advertising strategies and marketing campaigns, preferably gained in tertiary institutions; (v) a good sense of handling a wide variety of traditional and e-marketing communication tools; and (vi) excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test. Applicants must submit copies of certificates showing that they have fulfilled the language requirements and academic qualifications stated above, otherwise their applications may NOT be considered.
Appointment will initially be made on a contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
