Executive Officer (Ref. 22061031-IE)


The appointee will be required to:

(a) provide administrative and management support for research grants to different units;

(b) assist in preparing documents and reports related to research grants/projects/awards;

(c) provide secretarial support to committees, working groups and/or task forces;

(d) coordinate and organise research-related activities and events, and provide on-the-spot logistical support;

(e) liaise with academic and central administrative units;

(f) supervise clerical staff and/or other subordinates; and

(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Research and Innovation or his/her delegates.


Applicants should have:

(a) a recognised degree;

(b) at least five years of post-qualification experience at supervisory level, preferably in the administration of research project matters;

(c) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being a definite asset;

(d) good computer literacy, including Chinese word processing;

(e) excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal with individuals with different cultural backgrounds; and

(f) high self-motivation and the ability to complete tasks independently.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test. 

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
