Fabric Manager / Senior Fabric Merchandiser (Denim / Knit & swimwear)

- Manage a small fabric team in Hong Kong office.
- Sourcing denim, knit & swimwear fabric for expanding casual wear business
- Provide technical advice and risk assessment on washing / wet processing.
- Good fashion sense and washing knowledge to achieve design expectation.
- Develop, monitor & elevate all development & bulk fabric process & activities
- Able to expand fabric sourcing data base & establish strategy
- Conduct, confront & establish price negotiation with mills to achieve business targets
- Collaborate with QA functions internally & externally on all fabric testing protocols to maintain high quality standards
- Constructively engages in problem solving & developing solutions
- Engage to coach & elevate mills’ performance & capabilities
- To develop strategies for supplier partnership enhancement, suppliers & demand consolidation across divisions, new suppliers sourcing, selection and nomination.
Qualification :
- Higher Diploma with major in Textile preferable
- 8 years’ experience in textile field with at least 3 years in a supervisor position
- Less experience will be considered as Senior Merchandiser
- Intensive understanding of various type of textile items
- Good fashion sense and development knowledge on denim wear/ wet processing/ fine knit casual wear / swimwear
- Experience in procurement of denim fabric / fine knit / swimwear material
- Focus, systematic & logistical in problem solving
- Energetic, aggressive and flexible as a good team work player, & able to travel if necessary.
- Good leadership & management skills, strong organization and negotiation skills
- Good command of spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin
