FACILITIES MANAGEMENT OFFICE
Facilities Officer (Ref. 20020525-E2)
The appointee will report to the Technical Services Section and be required to:
(a) plan and co-ordinate with internal/external parties for the operation, repair and maintenance/replacement/improvement of building fabric for the University’s properties;
(b) liaise with different parties and co-ordinate the implementation of planned maintenance/replacement works;
(c) assist in the design and preparation of specifications as well as drawings for various works;
(d) monitor the progress and quality of work performed by contractors and in-house staff;
(e) perform shift duties including working on Saturdays/Sundays/public holidays; and
(f) handle any other duties as assigned by the Director of Office or his delegates.
(a) have a recognised degree, diploma or higher certificate in Building Studies or a related discipline with at least three years of relevant experience, OR be recognised by the Buildings Department as the Technically Competent Person T1 plus five years of relevant work experience;
(b) have solid experience with underground drainage clearance works or repair of underground drainage pipes;
(c) have customer-oriented mindset as well as good interpersonal and communication skills; and
(d) be familiar with the basic computer software including MS Office, Outlook and mobile communication applications.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Appointment will be on a two-year fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
